A quick video of the Psych Head Wrasse I acquired at NAS this past weekend.
If you listen you can hear a popping noise when he sucks up the pieces of krill.
Sorry for the poor quality!

A sense of passion is what first drives most hobbyists to raise these fishes... I believe that curiosity is a tremendous motivator, as is doing something that most people still think is impossible.

This Mandarin is a newer addition, my female is about twice as fat. After spending some time working with this guy he is eating frozen food like a champ! He will even tackle Large chunks of krill and PE Mysis!

Hello New Age Reefs, Here is my Tank 6 months 3 weeks ago #16312

I have a huge population of Mysid shrimp / pods in my overflows and refugium which i would collect and slowly feed him from a turkey baster. Over time i mixed in some frozen brine shrimp, mysis and krill in with this and eventually just worked my way to feeding just the frozen. I think he is spoiled now because he doesn't want to leave the feeding spot in the front of the tank to look for food on his own... He just waits for me to come home and feed him.
I have tried this with my female Mandarin with no such luck but she is super fat and healthy so Im not worried about her.
