TOPIC: attaching and fragging Montis

attaching and fragging Montis 1 year 3 weeks ago #13983

I have been growing out a few montis I have aquired from different places. I am curious as to recomended ways to attach it to my rockwork to give it a more "natural" appearance. Is there an epoxy or pull it out and superglue it. I have no idea so looking for some ideas. Secondly what is the reccomended way to frag it. I am wondering this to have another piece to grow out in case I want to start a couple or to hold one back in case I booger it up in the attachment process. Any ideas much appricated!

Thanks,
Eli

My buddy fragged a piece I gave him using scissors to clip it into smaller pieces. All the pieces turned out just fine with no effect.

As for gluing, try to be gentle or you'll have a dead patch. Glue it to a small rock first then put that where ever you like. Mine grew fast enough to where it attached itself onto a larger rock before it got knocked over. Once grows out and attach though, its a strong hold.

We use the IC-Gel to attach corals and have it on the shelf if your looking any. I used it at home to attach a few efflo frags while I wait for it to attach to the rock naturally.

Cool thanks, I'll clip a bit first and make sure it'll handle a little fragging and then give the attachment a shot you never know I may get lucky.
